At the end of the 2007-2008 academic year, the Prisacani School of Arts and Crafts held its yearly graduation where it bestowed prizes to its best students. For the second consecutive year, the ‘Daniel Murariu’ Foundation was present and contributed with monetary prizes to students that scored highly at the Olympics (Mathematics, Romanian language, Geography, etc.) and other competitions. The foundation was represented by Honorary President, Virginia Murariu, and founder, Dr. Daniel Murariu.
30 monetary awards totaling 1000 RON (approx. 400 USD) were handed out. 450 RON were raised by the teachers by donating 2% of the taxed income as per law nr. 571/2003 to the Foundation. This selfless act by the teachers to the benefit of their students shows the dedication of the staff of the Prisacani School of Arts and Crafts.
Nine teachers were also singled out for their outstanding service to the students and the Foundation awarded them with office supplies.
